Hunting Guide and Wrangler
## About the Job The Employee agrees to work as a guide and wrangler for MacMillan River Adventures providing services related to outdoor activities, including but not limited to guiding clients on hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping trips in the Yukon Territories. ## Responsibilities * Leading clients on hunts for big game, including moose, sheep, caribou, black bear and grizzly bear during our hunting seasons, running August through November or fishing the lakes and rivers. * Provide exceptional customer experience, acting as an educator and ensuring each client leaves a better hunter - regardless of the outcome of the hunt. * You’ll also be asked to support other guides and other aspects of the concession, including assisting with meal prep and guest services. * During the off-season, we’ll put your other skills to use on a variety of other projects as a builder and/or ranch hand, depending on your skills and interests. ## Accommodation You will be out in the bush wrangling with the guides. We do have days at Main Camp in the cabins but there are a lot of days out in Tents. ## About the Employer We are guiding hunters in a 4000 square mile concession in the Yukon Territory in Canada. You will be living in the bush a large part of the time taking the horses with hunters. You will accompany the Guides for Stone Sheep, Moose, Mountain Caribou and Grizzly Bears

## Responsibilities Western Trail Guide for easy 1-hour forest trails, (most of our guests have little riding experience.) English / Western Ride Lessons mainly for low level riders. Saturday Morning Lead-line Pony Rides Gymkhana Games on Horseback Riders enjoy learning patterns, rather than competitive. ## Requirements Requires someone that is people-patient AND youth friendly. Previous Horse Experience - Trail Guide / Wrangler, Ride Lessons NO Dogs, NO Children - (for insurance reasons) ## About the Employer Family-Oriented Guest Ranch, WA State - (San Juan Island). Horseback Riding, Retail Feed & Supply Store and Guest Lodging. * **HORSEBACK RIDING**: Tourists keep us busy - Forest Trail Rides,Youth Mini-Trail and Lead-Line Ponies. Riding Classes are low-level beginning, English or Western. Gymkana Games on Sundays are a big hit with local residents. Childrens Day Camps, 4-H Program throughout the year, weather permitting. Horses are gentle and easy-going. Safety is a huge priority. * **FEED & SUPPLY STORE**: Locals come for feed etc. We sell chicks, ducks in the Spring. Hay & Straw Sales. Pick-Ups / Deliveries plus Inventory and Restocking is on-going.
